Over thirty miles of trails are scattered within the Park for running walking and hiking.

Memorial Park Hiking Trails. The first hike we will look at is the Memorial Park to Huber Park hike. Many of these beautiful trails twist and turn or stretch over small creeks. The Arboretum is a 155 acre nature sanctuary located within Memorial Park about 6 miles from downtown Houston.

Starting from the Overlook parking lot this walk through the trees ends at the Hillside fishing area. I didnt stick around long because of all the childrens field trip groups. Purple Trail starts with a very long straight and uncovered section.

This area can be used for hiking biking dirt biking fishing and other outdoor activities. Ellen Nature Trail offers a short and easy interpretive loop through the parks northern area. Hart Memorial Park is a scenic park just outside of Bakersfield that features a lake mountains and beautiful landscape.
